whitening gel on my teeth?
I bought the nighttime teeth whitening gel earlier today, and was curious so I put it on for about 30 minutes.(hard to apply; like nail polish?) It was kind a numbing feeling on my teeth. It was hard to keep dry, the saliva just made it really ‘foamy.’ After the 30 minutes I brushed my teeth again and it kinda hurt. After rinsing I noticed a few whiter spots in some areas.
I heard the gel wears away your enamel, is this true? And I wonder about the spots. Did I get the gel on uneven? Or are there always going to be whiter spots in some areas?
Your teeth are more sensitive due to the whitening process…I recommend using a sensitive toothpaste for a week or two
You should not whiten every day, once you get them as white as you like, try once every 3 weeks to maintain the results
The white spots will fade in a day, it is just where your teeth are whiter from extra minerals in those spots
I recommend the whitening strips or I use custom fit trays, I have never used the brush on polish, it sounds complicated & if you get it on your gums it will be sore
