will lasik work for me

Being left eye dominant, I was wondering if Lasik surgery will correct this problem, I wear glasses and near s?
Being near sighted, left eye dominant, I am a handgun target shooter, shoot right handed too old to switch to try shooting left handed.
I’m guessing that you might have started out being left-handed but was made to use your right hand at some point so that’s why you have that cross dominance. I’m right-handed but also right eye dominant and have been that way for as long as I can remember.
As for getting corrective surgery, I’m not sure you would like having to wear reading glasses because this procedure will essentially make you farsighted. If you’re older and nearsighted, you probably can still see close up naturally without corrective lenses. I’ve heard people say that after getting LASIK done, you will only occasionally have to wear glasses for reading and other close up work. I’ve noticed that in most older people, that’s not the case. They spend a lot of time taking out those glasses and putting them on and then putting them away again after they’re done using them. You might not mind that but it would bother me a great deal. That’s why I haven’t seriously considered getting LASIK.
