lasik thin cornea

lasik thin cornea
ICL for shortsighted?

Am extreme shortsighted and have thin cornea. Would like to consider the ICL but do not know whether it’s good or not? Risky than lasik? How much does it cost?

This is definitely an option you should look into. The actual post op quality of your vision will probably be better than with Lasik. The post op symptoms of dryness, star bursting of lights, and decreased night vision are not a problem with ICL implantation. Yes there is some risk to the surgery but it is basically the same risk as for catarat surgery and thousands upon thousands of those are done every day across the US with extremely good results. As to cost, you will need to discuss this with your surgeon. Costs may vary from one surgeon to the next and from one area of the US to the next. Hope this helped.
