lasik brisbane

I am considering Lasik Laser eye surgery, if you’ve had it done opinion please?
I have worn contacts for 10 years, and only in the last 3 months have had two corneal ulcers (painful) and I’m over it. I have been wearing my glasses but not a huge lover of them…can anyone give me some advice/opinions on their experience with laser eye surgery? If so where in Brisbane is the best place to get it done? Thanks
Hi there,
Corneal ulcers may preclude you from having the treatment in the first place depending on the severity and damage that was caused. It would be interesting to know what you Visual Acuity prior to getting the ulcers was and what they are now. Secondly, you would need to have a Corneal Topography scan (Topolyser / Pentacam) taken to see what / if any damage has been done to the structure of the cornea (scarring etc).
I would suggest that you have a look at Laser Sight http://www.lasik.com.au. From my experience, the technology that they use (Wavelight Allegretto) is far superior to other platforms on the market.
Best to have a consultation and find out what options are available to you. The only way that your suitability for treatment can be assessed is through a consultation.
Hope this helps
