Dry eyes from computer after lasik?
I had lasik a year ago. I work at a computer. Lately, I notice my eyes get very dry from looking at the screen. When I went to the eye doctor, the sight in my right eye (the one that gets dry most) had degraded a little. Is the computer screen damaging my sight through chronic dryness? should i find a new occupation?
Dry eyes associated with computer use is VERY common. It’s also wintertime and there is a lot less humidity in the air which doesn’t help. You are not going to damage your eyesight by using the computer. Taking breaks from the computer every hour and using artificial tears are the best way to combat the dry eye monster.
